Principal Newsletter March 28, 2019

  • Thank you to all the students and families who created the beautiful bridges as well as attended last evening’s bridges event!  We fed over 160 people last night. A sincere thank you to Stone Soup Cafe for providing last night's meal.

  • A note from nurse Joni: Dear Parents,

There seems to be a stomach bug going around. We work hard at Sheffield on disinfecting classrooms, stair rails, door knobs, etc. and teaching your students about germs and how they spread, but we need your help.  Please keep your student home if they are nauseous or have vomited within the last 24 hours. As always, washing hands and items that could be holding on to the germs (towels, wash cloths, shirts) is the best defense.

Happy Spring !!!

Joni Sexauer (Nurse Joni)

Sheffield School Nurse

  • Wednesday, April 3rd is a half day of school.  We have a noon dismissal. Wednesday’s spirit day is “Welcome Spring!”  Students and staff are invited to wear bright spring colors, flower patterns, frog shirts, butterfly shirts, baseball/softball jerseys, etc.  This is an "if you want to"...not a "have-to".  Clothing must be appropriate and in accordance with our school-wide guidelines—no make-up, face paints, hair sprays/dyes, etc. due to chemical/allergy concerns.  Since baseball season just started...baseball-style caps (and, of course, spring bonnets, bug antennae, etc.) will be permitted!

  • Friendly reminder that we have cancelled our Thursday, April 4th All School Sing due to the Pioneer Valley Symphony field trip for some of our students.

With  Sheffield Pride,
