Principal Newsletter 9/12/2019

● Friendly reminder that we changed the time we open our doors to 8:15. There is no adult supervision prior to 8:15, so please time your drop off to be between 8:15-8:30. Thank you for your assistance in ensuring student safety.

● We have some students asking for extra lunch. All students can receive a free lunch, even if they bring a lunch from home. Extra is available, but for an additional fee. Questions please contact our cafeteria manager Ann Annear at 863-7425.

● School pictures were today. If your child was absent or you desire a retake, we’ll be sure to provide the re-take date as soon as it's made available to us.

● The district is looking for a part time evening custodian. If anyone is interested please apply to: http://www.gmrsd.org/index.cfm?pID=11748

● To provide optimal time to eat their lunch, we are having students enter directly into the cafeteria from the playground. An adult is administering hand sanitizer as they line up. Students are able to wash hands in the bathroom if they desire instead of the hand sanitizer.

● Monday, our 21st Century after school program will be starting its first session. Our program runs from 3:15- 5:30 daily. Please contact program coordinator Christine Bates at 413-824-1223 if you have any questions.

● Wednesday, September 18 at 5:30 pm, Friends of Sheffield (FOS) will be having a meeting at Sheffield in the staff room.
