Principal’s newsletter for October 24, 2019

  • Our first All School Meeting is tomorrow from 2:15-2:45 in our auditorium.  Families are welcome to attend.

  • Picture retake day will be Wednesday, October 30.  

  • Thursday, October 31 staff and students are permitted to wear a hat to school.  This is only if you want to, not a have to. No face paint please.

  • The Turners Falls Fire Department will be visiting classrooms on Thursday, October 31 to review safety when out trick-or-treating.

  • You should have received a parent/teacher conference sign-up form.  If you have not picked a day and time to come in, contact your child’s teacher.

  • We have purchased Sheffield Pride t-shirts for all staff and students.  We encourage your child to wear it every Friday to ‘show their pride!’ Friday, November 1 they will be passed out to wear on future Friday’s.

  • One of the goals in our school improvement plan is to read a diverse book once a month to all classrooms.  Tomorrow your child will hear a book called Fly Away Home, about a homeless boy and his father. Ask your child about it tomorrow afternoon.
