Principal Newsletter 3/18/2021

  • I am in need of your help.  There is no rolling pick up in the afternoon.  If you are picking up your child/ren in the afternoon, please park your car in one of the parking spaces.  Please do not pull up along the curb, as this is causing congestion and frustration.  Your assistance is greatly appreciated!

  • Parent teacher conferences will be conducted virtually today, March 18th and Friday, March 19th.  These are half days with a noon dismissal. If you haven’t already scheduled your conference, please reach out to your child’s teacher.

  • We are extremely excited to welcome students back full time on Monday, April 5th!  Students will be seated 3 feet apart in their classrooms, wearing masks, having the window cracked and with an air purifier to continue student health and safety.

  •   We are currently problem solving where to have students eat both breakfast and lunch as the DESE guidelines state that students (who will be unmasked while eating) need to be 6 feet apart.  This means that students will NOT be eating in their classroom. (Unless the number of students allows for 6 foot distancing)

  • Our school’s district report card has been placed on the website due to its length and multiple tabs.

  • Here’s messaging from Ms. C. our 21st Century Afterschool coordinator:

Dear Sheffield Families,

I am so glad to be looking at the restarting of in-person programming at Sheffield!
