GILL ELEMENTARY- HEATING SYSTEM CONTROL UPGRADE 2023

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:

Replacement of the Building Management System (BMS) control PC and software platform for the Gill Elementary School heating system.  The scope of work was to replace the PC tower and software that is currently outdated and unable to effectively control the building temperatures. The current BMS system controls the building heating system only, but the expansion of the project will allow us to integrate lighting, air conditioning units and security into the system.

The new system will also allow for more auditing of the system and user access levels to ensure settings are not changed beyond what administrative permissions allow. Emergency communications via email and text messaging is now possible with this upgrade, and is currently in use for a broad range of functions (low temperature, boiler failure, etc.)

COST OF THE PROJECT:                    $10,000

POTENTIAL ANNUAL SAVINGS:

Heating Savings- Approximately $1000 annually

Electrical Savings- Apprioximately $1000 annuall (once lighting is integrated)
