The Office of Public School Monitoring from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education visits each district and charter school every three years to monitor compliance with federal and state special education and civil rights regulations. Overall, Gill-Montague did very well on this tiered focus review. As part of this process, the district was identified as needing to update language in our respective school handbooks in two areas relative to definitions of bullying and detailing the full procedural process for suspension of students.
