Secondary Principal Search

If you are interested in participating in the selection process for the new middle and high school principal as a member of the search committee please contact me by Wednesday, March 6 and I will get back to you by March 11. We hope to convene a group that will consist of the following members:

  • 1 high school student
  • 1 community member who is not a school parent
  • 1 middle school parent/guardian
  • 1 high school parent/guardian
  • 1 school committee member
  • 1 district administrator (in addition to the superintendent)
  • 2 non-teaching staff members
  • 4 faculty members

Here is a tentative timeline of anticipated work the committee will undertake:

  • March 11-17: Review and rate online applications
  • March 19: Meet to review stakeholders’ survey responses, select interviewees, and finalize interview questions (Approximately 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm)
  • March 27 and 28: Interview candidates and recommend finalists (Approximately 3:00 pm to 8 pm)
  • April 4-11: Possible visits to a finalist’s school. Finalists visit GFMS/TFHS
  • April 10-11: Committee convenes to provide final input to superintendent
