STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES: The district's administrative leaders have been closely following state and federal guidance on how to best support our students with disabilities and our English Learners (ELs) during this period of emergency school closure. Our special education teachers and related service providers (occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech and language pathologists, school counselors, school psychologists, and board certified behavior analyst) working in collaboration with general education teachers are preparing to use a combination of virtual, technology based (tele-practice, GSuite tools, speicalized online curriculum programs, etc.) as well as print resources and adapted lessons to support the remote learning needs of our students identified within IEP plans. Additionally, our classroom and content area teachers, in collaboration with our ELL teachers are working to support the remote learning needs of our EL students and their families. Of further note, Jimena DePareja, our Spanish Language Interpreter & Community Liaison (413) 695-9593 continues to be a resource for our school community.
