Our student council members have reviewed all of the class rules in our building and have created five new school rules for Sheffield:
Be safe and in control
Active listening to all
Take care of all school materials and keep a clean school environment
Be kind, helpful, and have fun
Believe in yourself and believe in each other
Our student council have been working on a presentation of what each rule looks like and sounds like. They will be presenting each of them at future All School Meetings, starting tomorrow afternoon...

Dear District Parents and Guardians,
I am writing to invite you to attend a forum to share your experience, perspective, concerns, and hopes, regarding how our schools respond to incidents of civil rights harassment and the education of students about diversity and equity issues. This meeting is open to all district parents and guardians and will be facilitated by Safire DeJong and Keisha Green of the Collaborative for Educational Services. Our annual food drive involves all five of the district's schools in a friendly 3-week competition that stocks up the food pantry run by the Basic Needs program at Montague Catholic Social Ministries in downtown Turners Falls. This effort is led by parent volunteer (and former school committee member) Lesley Cogswell, with help from students, staff, families, community members, and the Gill-Montague Community School Partnership. Items were collected, counted, and delivered to MCSM on three Friday afternoons.
